Yellow Class have been busy learning about deforestation this term. We read the story ‘The Great Kapok Tree’ which helped us to understand the reasons against chopping down trees. We also discussed reasons for deforestation and had a class debate to discuss our opinions. For our final mini adventure, we explored the wonderful county of Derbyshire by using Google Maps to help us find and locate popular places and towns. We spent some time drawing our own sketch maps of the local area and learning how to read a key. Mrs Buckley even let us bake a fruity Derbyshire loaf cake and it tasted delicious! We are sad our year in Yellow Class has come to an end but we are now ready for new adventures in Year 3!
