At Draycott Community Primary School we believe that each child is entitled to a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum which contributes to the development of the whole child. Opportunities are given, through active participation in a planned programme of Physical Education to develop positive attitudes, social skills, team work and self-confidence. PE activities are designed to be challenging and enjoyable which we hope will create a lifelong enjoyment of physical exercise.
Sports Premium Funding
During the financial year 2017/2018 every school in the country has been given extra funding from the government to improve Physical Education in schools. Schools are free to determine how best to use this funding to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision, including increasing participation in PE and sport so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of.
